Internet TrainingIntroductory training sessions are held in the following (at Bundaberg Library only): Introduction to the World Wide Web: Learn how to type in a web site address and get to a specific site, and search the Web using a search engine.
Introduction to Advanced Searching: Learn a bit more about the way Google works and the different tricks you can try to help you in your searching and your use of the Internet in general.
Introduction to Email: In this session you are shown how to read an email message, send an email message, save an email address, use storage folders, and much more.
These Internet training sessions are designed to give you an introductory look at how to use the Web. Lessons are a once-off, not a series of lessons. You are more than welcome to attend another lesson at a later date. However, you will be revising what you learnt in the first lesson. The Reference/Internet Librarian, and other Library staff, are not able to advise patrons on what computer or software to buy, which Internet Service Provider (ISP) to use, and so on. Remember: practice makes perfect! |

Assistance with using the Internet in the LibraryGeneral help: The Reference/Internet Librarian is available to give assistance in using the Internet at most times. See her in the office next to the computers. Saturday morning: Very limited assistance is available on Saturday mornings due to the busy nature of the Library. Training: Introduction to the World Wide Web and Introduction to Email lessons are run regularly. See above for more detail. |
