storytelling_boy.jpg Storytelling Hour

Children's Storytelling Hour for 2-6 year olds is held every Tuesday from 11.00am - 11.45am. The Youth Services Librarian presents a program of pop-up books, puzzles, puppets and stories. Everyone is welcome.

Important Information:

  • To enable children to enjoy the storytelling, please sit with your toddler while the session is on.
  • If your toddler becomes bored or noisy, please take them out of the storytelling area, so they do not distract other children.

Storytelling Tips

Baby Time

A storytelling session for parents and their young babies aged 6-24 months. Four programs are run per year.

Babies and parents can join a Thursday session or Friday session, both of which run between 10.30 - 11.00am for an 8-week period. Youth Services will present a program of fingerplays, rhymes and action songs for babies and toddlers, and their parents. It is also a chance for parents to meet other parents with young children.

Bookings are required - ask for a form at the Library counter.
