Council is developing a new Pest Management Plan for 2005-2009. The Pest Management Plan is a plan of what Council and the Community would like to achieve and sets the direction for pest management over the next four (4) years.

Under the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 2002 (Qld), Council is required to prepare and adopt a Pest Management Plan. A draft Plan has now been prepared and is open for inspection at the Civic Centre and Library or by downloading the document from the link above.

Council welcomes any written submissions on the Draft Pest Management Plan which should be received by Monday, 11th April, 2005.
