Is your lost dog displayed on the impounded animals list ? |
You can claim your dog by contacting the Health and Environmental Services Department of Bundaberg Regional Council on 4153 9280 during business hours and quote the reference number shown on the dog details screen. For after hours enquiries, please phone Council's Animal Control Officer on 0408 198 460. Please note that only the legal owner of the dog can release a dog from the Pound.
Payment of the release (and registration) fee is to be received in full prior to the release of the dog. Payment can be made at the Council Administration Office between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. weekdays.
Once payment has been made, you can collect your dog from the Pound, upon presentation of your receipt, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. weekdays. The Pound is located at the end of University Drive, Branyan.
Council maintains a lost and found dog Register. If your dog is missing, and is not in the Pound, you can leave your details with us by completing and submitting the information in our lost/found dogs form.
It is also strongly recommended that you also contact the RSPCA on 07 4155 1736 to see if you dog has been delivered to them. It is also suggested that you contact former Burnett Shire Council on 07 4150 5400 to ensure that your dog has not travelled out of the City's boundaries.
