Corporate and Community Services
The Corporate Services Department is composed of various diverse functions including corporate services to the whole Council organisation such as Information Technology, Workplace Health and Safety, Meeting Services and Records Management. This Department also has a strong outward focus towards community services including Library Services and Community Development.

Engineering
The Engineering Services Department is composed of various functions and provides building maintenance work, drafting assistance and fleet administration to the whole Council organisation. Major activities undertaken by the Department include street, road, footpath, and drainage works together with bikeways, water supply, sewerage and traffic facilities. Safety around schools is a priority for the Department who continue to work with Queensland Transport and Schools to provide enhanced signage, pavement markings, school crossings and set-down areas.

Health & Environment
The Environmental & Development Services Department is composed of various functions with a strong outward focus towards community services including Immunisation Clinics, Public Health & Amenities, Nuisances (Air, Water, Noise), Animal Control and Waste Management.

Planning & Development
Major activities undertaken by the Department include Town Planning, Building and Plumbing/Drainage.
